Steinar Andersen is a partner at Vaar and specializes in employment law. Steinar has a unique ability to understand the client's needs and interests and uses his strong relational qualities to help the client find good solutions in complex issues. Steinar focuses on being proactive in his assistance to the client so that problems are solved at an early stage to avoid extensive and costly processes

Steinar has worked with employment law for over 20 years and has extensive experience and expertise in most areas of the field, both in the public and private sectors. In his previous job as a lawyer for NITO, the Norwegian Society of Engineers and Technologists, Steinar gained particular knowledge about what employees find important in their employment relationship, and how employers can meet this while also safeguarding their own interests.

Steinar has extensive experience with restructuring and downsizing processes in both small, medium-sized, and large enterprises, and has handled a very large number of dismissal cases. Steinar has extensive experience with consultation and negotiation meetings and the conclusion of termination agreements. He also holds courses and lectures on the subject and regularly goes to court.

Steinar also has extensive theoretical and practical competence in conflict management and regularly holds courses and lectures in this area. Steinar also works with harassment and whistleblowing cases as well as more general conflict cases and collaboration problems.
